For example, if the user wants to change the distance in a distance parameter (from 20 feet to 50 feet), then the next time the user runs the model 50 feet will be the default value. What I need to happen is after a user changes the parameter value in the model, when the model is run again, the new value is now the default value.
However, after playing a little bit around the various options I found a hack/workaround/solution which actually works and allows us to do a complete refresh – hence this post.
An old workaround I have provided in the Connect item was an idea based on GETDATE().
But when I am using them in main report i am not able to get those subreports. But when I am using them in main report i am not able to get those subreports. You need to map those parameter with the main report parameter..
Parameters are still set left-to-right, overwriting default parameters even if there are later parameters without defaults.
Is it possible to change the default value of a parameter if the user selects a different value before running the model?
